Web-based Virtual Field Trips


Here are links to various places students can virtually visit.  These are also known as "electronic field trips," "virtual tours," or "virtual visits."  You can visit Antarctica, a rain forest, Mars, a computer store, a women's shelter, a Yoruba naming ceremony, a bank, realtor, state legislature, medical center, and a variety of companies that offer virtual tours.

    Virtual Visits
    A group of students visits a place they are interested in: a computer store, bank, realtor, health center, state legislature, etc. and records their visit and it's now a virtual visit on the Web.  This site explains what these are, how to make them and has links to virtual visit pages students have made.
